Acupuncture needles are about the width of two to three strands of hair and are quite flexible. People are often surprised how little they feel both at insertion and after they are in place. It is not uncommon for patients to become so relaxed, they fall asleep!
Depending on the patient, acupuncture usually takes multiple treatments to see lasting results, but most notice a general relaxation after the first session. Acupuncture can be a great supplemental treatment for many conditions and has been proven to be effective for thousands of years!

One month ago, I started therapies at Maplewood wellness center for severe migraines. The Doctor and all the office staff are amazing! Everyone there is very friendly and pleasant. I am loving Dr. Feiler and his staff (Diamond). From day one they make you feel welcomed. I came in due to having upper back pain from my job but Dr. Feiler explained what my true cause of pain was, treatment plan and changes needed to be made. My husband and I have been coming year since the beginning of the year and have had an amazing experience every time! We both used the Groupon for a our first visits as well. Dr. Feiler is amazing and so caring of each of his patients. He definitely knows what he’s doing and I would recommend anyone to him. My husband and I have both had very different amounts of back pain the last few years and the Dr. has really helped us both tremendously! We go about every 2 weeks and every time we come in we’re greeted so warmly by their amazing assistant Diamond! Overall great staff and a great place to go!
